Our international junior language school is situated in the heart of Mellieha town in Malta, about a 15 minute walk from the beach. The school consists of 15 spacious, well-lit classrooms, all enjoying wonderful views and plenty of fresh air.

A large courtyard in the centre of the building can be used for football and basketball games during breaktime. There is also a playground in front of the school where students may picnic together at lunchtime.

Our staff consists of professionally educated and experienced teachers who hold internationally recognised certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. They have been specifically trained to teach young learners, so that students will enjoy lessons and experience a different approach to the language, as far removed from the usual dreary classroom atmosphere as possible.

All learning materials are up to date and have been created with the needs and interests of junior students in mind.

Students will be taught in small groups averaging 6 to 7 students (maximum 10 per group). They will be placed in class according to the results of a placement test that they will sit for on the first day of school, so that everyone in the group will have a similar knowledge of English. The course will consist of 20 lessons, of 45 minutes each, per week. Our dedicated teachers will place special emphasis on conversation and listening, without neglecting other aspects of the language such as vocabulary and grammar. By using communicative teaching methods, we aim to strengthen the self-confidence of our learners and enable them to communicate freely with each other, thus enabling them to interact with confidence beyond the classroom.

Accommodation & Transfer

During their stay with us, students may choose to stay either in our modern, comfortable 4 star residence or with a friendly Maltese host family.

Students usually stay at our 4 star residence, which is only a 5 minute walk from the school in the heart of Mellieha. The residence offers comfortably furnished rooms which are fully air-conditioned, and each accommodates 4 students. Every room is equipped with satellite TV, telephone, safe, ensuite bathroom and a balcony or terrace. There are 2 pools, one is indoors and the other is located on the roof of the residence, offering students a breathtaking view of the town of Mellieha and the clear blue seas of Mellieha Bay. At the residence students may also make use of a well-equipped fitness room and a lounge area equipped with table soccer and pool tables.



The package includes full-board; breakfast and dinner will be buffet-style. At breakfast, a selection of pastries and breads will be served, accompanied by cheeses & cold cuts, cereals and fresh fruit will also be served. For dinner, students will be offered a choice of 3 dishes, accompanied by vegetables or salads. Vegetarian food will be available too, however we ask you to please notify us in advance if a student has special dietary requirements.

Lunch will be a packed lunch and will consist of a sandwich, fruit and a beverage. Snacks and other refreshments can be purchased at the mini-market located across the street from the residence.

Our friendly and welcoming host families are carefully chosen and offer a great opportunity for immersion into the Maltese way of life. Students will be accommodated in twin rooms together with a student of a different nationality wherever possible. Continental breakfast will be provided by the host family and the family will also have dinner together with the student in the evenings. Packed lunches will be provided by the school.

There will usually be more than one student staying in a host family, so that students can get to know other teenagers quickly.

Upon arrival, all students will be picked up from the airport by a member of our team and will be taken to the residence or host family. We also organize airport transfers on departure for our students. Mellieha is about a 45 minute drive from the airport.

Activities & Supervision

To keep students busy and entertained during their stay, our team leaders will organize an exciting activity programme. This programme will help students to get acquainted with the island, its culture and the Maltese way of life.

Each programme will begin with an orientation meeting and a short walk around the school and town, so students can get to know their surroundings. A regular Saturday evening feature will be the welcome party where new students can meet their future classmates from all over the world and make new friends in a heartbeat!

The rest of the activity programme will consist of interesting trips, for example to the historical town of Mdina, to the capital city of Valletta or a shopping trip to Sliema, as well as many types of sporting activities.

Since Mellieha boasts one of Malta’s longest sandy beaches, of course students will also be enjoying lots of beach activities and games! In the evenings, our more adventurous students will certainly enjoy the night hikes, while the “night owls” can dance the evenings away at our foam or salsa parties.

There will be an optional excursion on Saturdays which can be booked at an extra cost. For students who do not wish to go on the trip there will be activities on the beach.



For students that would like to practise water sports, we offer special activity packages which consist of 4 lessons per week of 90 minutes each. Students have a choice of either sailing or windsurfing; the equipment is included in the package price. Water sports lessons will take place in Mellieha. Those who cannot decide on one sport can also take part in our two-week Water Sports Camp, which consists of 2 sailing lessons, 2 windsurfing lessons and 1 kayaking lesson, each will be 90 minutes in length. It will also be possible for students to rent the equipment, in their free time, at an extra charge.

Students will be supervised at all times by our dedicated & fun-loving team, who will also be available to answer any questions and deal with problems or wishes students might have. There will also be team leaders present at the residence, so students always have someone to turn to in case they experience any difficulties during their stay.

At the beginning of the programme, during orientation, students will also be introduced to our programme rules, which they must comply with. Participation in the organised activity programme is compulsory for everyone.
